Policy Framework
Transparency & accountability
Sets out Tapestry’s name, purpose, membership, governance structure, meetings, finances, amendments, and what happens to remaining funds should Tapestry ever dissolve. Membership is open to all women in the Thunder Bay community.
Tapestry is committed to a welcoming, respectful, and safe environment at every event and online. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, and abuse are not tolerated. Concerns can be raised confidentially at tapestrythunderbay@gmail.com.
Describes how to become a volunteer, what Tapestry provides (clear roles, a respectful environment, recognition), and what we ask in return: reliability, confidentiality, and adherence to the Code of Conduct.
Explains what personal information we collect, how it is used, how photos taken at events are handled, and your right to access, correct, or remove your information. We never sell or rent personal information.
Funds raised are used only for Tapestry’s stated purposes: charitable donations, events, and modest operating costs. The Treasurer keeps records and reports to the Board and members. No funds are used for personal gain.
Requires Board members and volunteers to disclose any personal, financial, or family interest in a decision, step aside from that decision, and record the disclosure in the minutes.
